RIP Whitney Houston

When I was a little girl, I wore out the BodyGuard Soundtrack on cassette tape. I literally played it until it stopped working. Whitney Houston was the reason I started singing, and sparked my passion for music. I am so sad that I have lost my very first idol and the world has lost another insanely talented individual.

Thank you for asking a question that made my phone beep in the middle of the night, resulting in me having a mini “what am I doing with my life?!” panic attack…

Okay, I do enjoy design. I have a bachelors degree in Interior Design from Washington State University. Right now I am taking a year to just work and figure out what I want to do with my life… but I eventually want to start a career involving design. I would love to own my own small design firm someday specializing in the renovations of old homes and ‘adaptive reuse’ design (taking something old that once had a purpose, and making it new again to fulfill a different purpose.)

I received a package in the mail the other day that made me laugh until tears were streaming down my face… Inside the “fragile” marked mailing paper was the rare (I’m assuming) and glorious ‘Furby Adventure Game.’ Just so everyone knows, if you dress up as a Furby even one time in your adult life, your friends are never going to let you forget it. Even so, no regrets here…

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go “help Furby find his way home.”

All of my friends would laugh at this question being asked to me… I am notorious for being overly enthusiastic about my music. Road trips with me have been known to have too many “This song is my favorite!!” exclamations to count… haha

*Grace Potter and the Nocturnals was one of the best concerts I have ever been to… let me tell you- they are the real deal. They seriously know how to rock a stage, and their ballads are so soulful.. leaves ya with chills… The way music should.
